In the City of Richmond, students generally attend a particular catchment school based on their place of residence, as designated by the Board of School Trustees.
However, if they are granted a transfer under district Regulations 501.8-R, they may attend a different school. The catchment areas are defined and approved by the Board to ensure a fair distribution of student enrollment.
